... A NEW INITIATIVE ENPOWERING ANYONE WHO BELIEVES THEATRE AND THE CLASSICS SHOULD BE ASCCESIBLE TO EVERYONE,
NOT JUST A PRIVILIGED ELITE.

While we were looking the other way, something unthinkable happened.

In just over a decade a past government's funding cuts and side-lining of arts education succeeded where The Black Death, the Puritans, the Blitz and COVID all failed.
​
They all but destroyed theatre in the UK, beyond the West End and a few juggernaut touring musicals.
​
As a result why would a new government pour funding into something fewer and fewer people are engaged with or even conscious of.
​
Grant making organisations are massively over subscribed to plug the gap, and no sensible entrepreneurs will be investing in something for which there’s currently no appetite.​​

All of which has resulted in the desperate situation TONIGHT whereby there's very little meaningful theatre -​

1. That's affordable to the majority of us.
​
2. That's performed in accessible venues where everyone can feel at ease
​
3. That will draw and inspire a new generation of artists who've never been introduced to theatre.
4. That will engage, diverse future audiences and voters who'll fight for us
TODAY the worlds greatest stories, our heritage, are only shared by those who feel comfortable in a handful of prestige venues, and the few artists who are lucky enough to work there.​
​
Unless action is taken RIGHT NOW a once lucrative industry, an art form in which we once led the world, faces a future as obscure and irrelevant as morris dancing!
